AI-assisted guidance

Version 2026-10-draft-1 · effective 2026-10-16

Draft pending legal review

This document is an early draft written in plain language. It is being reviewed by qualified counsel and may change before Edukrish's public launch. We will notify registered users of material changes.

If you turn it on, an AI service reads your profile, results and answers so it can ask you better questions and write a personal summary for you. It is optional, you can switch it off at any time, and the AI never makes decisions about you.

What it does

Asks follow-up questions that adapt to what you have already told us, one at a time, usually about ten in all.

Writes a personal summary — strengths, what motivates you, how you like to work, things to consider — and suggests careers and exams from the Edukrish library, each with what it is based on.

If a linked parent also answers the parent questions, the summary includes where your family agrees and where you may want to talk things through.

What the AI receives

Your education stage, stream, board, subject comfort, city/state, study destinations, budget band and aspirations; your interests and values results; your career matches and shortlist; and your answers in the discovery questionnaire.

It does not receive your name, email address, phone number, password, date of birth or any identity document.

Parents' individual answers are never shown to the student, and students' individual answers are never shown to parents. Linked parents see only the family part of the summary; notes written only for you stay private to you.

Who provides the AI

Anthropic (Claude), through its business API, whose terms do not allow it to use your data to train its models.

While Edukrish is being tested, Google's Gemini service may be used, but only with Edukrish staff and test accounts — never with students' or parents' personal data — because its free tier may use inputs to improve Google's products.

These providers may process data outside India. The full list of providers, locations and retention periods will be published before launch.

Children

For students under 18, a linked parent or guardian must allow AI-assisted guidance before it can be used. They can withdraw this at any time from their parent account.

Your choices

AI-assisted guidance is optional; the standard questions work without it.

You can switch it off at any time in Settings. We then stop sending your data to the AI provider. Summaries already created stay in your account until you delete them or your account.

AI can be wrong. Treat summaries as a starting point for thinking and conversation, check important facts on official websites, and talk to a counsellor or your family before big decisions.
