Trust and safety
Safety and honesty are product features, not fine print.
Here is what we do today, and what we hold ourselves to as Edukrish grows.
Protecting students under 18
- Students aged 13–17 need a parent or guardian's recorded consent before their account opens. Under-13s cannot sign up.
- Parents do not get automatic access to a student's private answers.
- Before any counsellor or mentor can work with students, they will be verified by our team, and contact with minors will follow safeguarding rules.
- Report a safety concern at any time: privacy@edukrish.com with “Safety” in the subject.
Protecting data
- Passwords are stored only as strong one-way hashes; email verification is required to sign in.
- Every student's records are isolated by database-level access rules, not just by the website's screens.
- Sensitive actions — consents, password resets, data changes — are written to a tamper-resistant audit log.
- We store IP addresses only in a one-way hashed form.
- We never sell personal data and do not use advertising trackers.
Honest guidance
- Every recommendation shows how it was calculated — see how it works.
- Career guides are labelled Editorial draft until an expert has checked them against official sources.
- Exam dates, colleges, fees and scholarships are collected automatically from official websites by EdukrishBot. Each fact shows the page it came from and when it was last checked, and is only published if the exact wording appears on that official page. Always confirm with the official source before you apply or pay.
- We never present a guess as a probability, and never guarantee admission, visas, scholarships or jobs.
- Partners cannot pay to change recommendations. Paid relationships will be labelled.
Legal status
Our privacy notice and terms are early drafts being reviewed by legal counsel, including against India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. We'll mark them as reviewed only when that is true.
